Storm Debris Pickup Status - It will be another five to six weeks before substantial completion of the June storm debris pickup operation. The update comes from Dan Crossland with the City of Tulsa Public Works Department. He says the operation is different from the ice storm debris removal project last winter which was accomplished with funding help from the federal government. Out of state contractors with huge trucks were used to sweep Tulsa three times. This latest single clean sweep effort is all in-house by city crews.
