Description: The award winning rock-with-roots act Hurricane Mason is a band whose refreshing originality and superhuman work ethic puts them in a class all their own. Come see a show and youll be taken on a trip through who's who of rock with a few twists around the bend of the long dusty backroads where the black cactus grows and "The Dukes of Hazzard" meet Skynyrd Van Waylon. Hurricane Mason delivers a rock solid, entertaining and professional performance. With pieces of their original discography and songs that people love and some you might have forgotten this band is getting the crowd involved and making them love it!
Hurricane Mason is selling a product that no one else is offering. They'll fly you to a Grand Funk concert, drop you off in the middle of a hot dusty field for some twisted Willie Nelson and knock you flat on your back with their original material. From their country renderings by Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to the wild rock anthems of AC/DC, Ted Nugent and Neil Young, every song is stamped with their original interpretation. You'll laugh, youll cry, bang your head, shake your ass, drink, dance and howl like a monkey...we guarantee it! Founder Matt Mason has been piloting this rock and roll thrill ride for over 7 years. Shawn Montgomery (drums) joined in time to record 2002's Cast Iron Constitution. While the two have gone through bass players at an astonishing Spinal Tap like rate, the band is showing up to shows these days looking like a cat of a different stripe. Bass player Ace Eversole may well be the 13th bass player in 7 seven years for the band, but this is a lucky 13! Hes got major label recording credits, played with more national acts than most yuppies have in their cd collection and is currently handling a variety of production duties for Hurricane Mason and their 3rd album, "A Little Country...and A Whole Lotta Love". They have firmly established their claim on the title of Tulsa's Hardest Working Band. In 2005 alone they played over 175 gigs, released an award winning album, supported local charity events and took their music to the masses with astounding frequency all over OK, TX, AR and KS.
