You will need:

  • A piece of paper
  • A leaf or something else with an interesting texture (e.g. bricks)
  • A crayon

What to do:

  • Place a piece of paper over a leaf and rub all over the paper with a crayon. It might work best if you use the side of your crayon (you might have to take the paper off first). Hey, presto!

Things to try:

  • See how many things you can find that have different, interesting textures and use them to create more texture pictures. Good things to try are coins, bricks, corrugated cardboard, and tree bark.
